Awards:

Awards will be handed out at the tournament site following round two, with Pro awards consisting of cash and Amateurs awards consisting of scrip. Scrip, is a voucher, written by the OLE staff and awarded to those finishing in the prize positions, that can be turned in for merchandise. OLE scrip is valid for one year, only redeemable at OLE tournaments, is not transferable, and can only be redeemed for OLE merchandise (not for entry fees).

Prizes:

The top 33-40% of each Pro division is considered a prizing position and allocation of prizes will be done using a close approximant of the PDGA prize award system. The OLE will award prizes to the top half of each Amateur division using a close approximant of the PDGA prize award system. Prizes for a division will be determined by multiplying the number of participants in each division by their entry fee, minus ace pot. This amount will be distributed divisionally by those within the prizing positions. Each division is treated as a separate entity so money is kept within each division. Entry fees from one division are not used to fund another division's prizes.

Ace Pot:

The OLE uses a progressive ace pot, if no one records an ace, the full amount is carried forward to the next OLE tournament where it is combined with the ace pot accrued that day. This process continues until someone records an ace and takes the entire ace pot. If multiple people record an ace or aces the pot will be split between all the aces. In the unlikely event that no aces are recorded during the season, a throw-off will be held at the last tournament for all registered participants. Each participant will take a turn throwing one disc at a target (from a distance to be determined at the time of the throw off). If no one’s disc lands within the target, the process will continue until someone lands a disc in the target. If the TD determines a throw-off is not the best course of action at that time (i.e. weather, injury, emergency, etc) they can elect to roll the ace pot over to the next year’s OLE starting ace pot.

Rules:

The OLE tournaments are not sanctioned by the PDGA, but do use the PDGA rules of play. People wishing to consume alcohol during their round will not be disqualified as long as doing so does not get out of hand and is allowed at the park. The OLE staff doesn’t condone or recommend consumption of substances that inhibit your ability to perform complicated actions. Those who do, do so of their own volition and are responsible for any potential outcome.

* Oregon State Parks require an annual park pass or day use pass. The day use pass can be purchased at the park for $5.00. If you fail to acquire a pass you will receive a huge ticked, many times the $5.00 fee.

**All people wanting to play must be registered before 8:55am. If you are late, we are sorry, but we will no longer take registration after registration has closed. The short days coupled with large player turnout makes finishing before dark a challenge
